APPLE SPICE MULES

Deliciously refreshing and filled with zing. This is an autumnal twist on the classic Moscow Mule.

INGREDIENTS:

50ml home-infused apple and cinnamon vodka*

12.5ml fresh lime juice

Top with ginger beer

2 dashes plum bitters (Fee Brothers)

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Garnish - Sprinkle of fresh grated nutmeg and a slice of apple


*in a jam jar, fill with freshly sliced apple and a couple of cinnamon sticks. Pour over plain vodka until it fills to the brim.  Seal with lid and store in the fridge for 48 hours (giving it a shake occasionally).  Then strain out the apple and cinnamon and pour into a sterilised bottle or back into the jar.  This can store in the fridge for a week (although it probably won't last that long!)

METHOD:

Fill a copper mule cup (or rocks glass if you don't have one) with ice.  Pour in vodka, lime juice and top with ginger beer.  Then add both bitters and stir.  


Grate some fresh nutmeg on top and garnish with an apple slice.
